Grants Coordinator/Planner

 

Reports To: Director, Aging & Disabled Services

Civil Service Title: Community Service Worker

Function: Responsible for the oversight and completion of all grant processes. Lead in Minute Traq. Back up to Program Analyst & Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in the coordination and administration of planning grants.
  • Responsible for all aspects for RFP, Proposals, Bids, MOU
  • Will be required to learn to utilize various computer programs: SAMS, SAGE, Fluid Review, MinuteTraq, OPRA, RIM System, Excel for example.
  • Receives, screens, reviews and verifies documents
  • Lead person for Emergency Management within the Office. Example: update & maintain existing plan at least annually
  • Designated Lead of Building Evacuation Team for Office
  • Maintains the essential records and files
  • Converts technical information on programs into layman’s language so that it may be readily understood by members of the public, grantees and others.
  • Ability to write descriptive reports using proper style and format.
  • Ability to orally express oneself clearly and concisely, imparting information, answering questions and explaining activities and/or directions in a manner appropriate for listeners.
  • Ability to develop written communication material to convey information concerning a range of subject related to the agency’s progress.
  • Ability to carry out recurring assignments independently and in accord with established procedures, policies and previous experience.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relations with supervisors, coworkers and grantees.
  • Works to promote a healthy work environment.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree plus

Experience: One year of experience performing complex administrative support work which must have included the interpretation and application of department/agency rules regulations, policies and procedures.  Prior experience working with grants desired, but not required.
